About Us
The start of something really big...
CI Innovations was born in direct response to the defense industry's need for the
highest quality CCFL backlighting available. Due to this need, and CI Innovations
ability to provide a solution for it; our company evolved from a well-established
developer and distributor of various lighting technologies, into one of the fastest
growing CCFL manufacturers in the industry.
Almost by chance, an existing client (one of the largest US defense contractors)
approached CI Innovations with a challenge.
Problem: The increased use of, and demand for high performing mission critical rugged
displays in aerospace, military and marine applications was leading to an urgent need
for all components of these products to be of the highest quality and latest technology.
All but one of these components was performing to specifications; the CCFL backlights
were frequently failing. While all of the other components of these LCD displays were
functioning correctly, multiple units were failing in the field and being returned
due to problems with the CCFL backlights.
CI Challenge: Having performed extensive research and working very closely with our
partners, CI Innovations concluded that there was a tremendous opportunity for an
innovative company, who could take the current CCFL technology to the next level
and achieve some significant improvements.

looked back; only to a brighter future!
