What Makes Our EEFL's So Special?
To create our EEFL line we developed a new technology that optimizes cold cathode's benefits and
minimizes its limitations. In order to combat cold cathode lamp failure, for example, we
eliminated the internal electrode that is the most common contributing factor in malfunction.
This improvement results in additional advantages, like increased lamp life, cooler running
temperatures, and extraordinary breakthroughs in power source efficiency.
CI Innovations EEFL lamps are rated with an unprecedented 150,000 hours of life expectancy! This
amazing feat is achieved through the new external electrode, which is not subject to mercury
compound build-up caused by mercury migration. The result: Much longer lamp life.
To add to the already impressive energy efficiency and cost savings of this technology, the external
electrode also allows the lamp to run at nearly ambient temperatures. This technology marvel also
allows multiple lamps - up to 100 - to run in parallel from a single power source without capacitive
loading issues. Old cold cathode units normally required one inverter for 1-3 lamps, causing
tremendous energy costs and requiring lamps to stay in close proximity to the inverter. CI
Innovations EEFL lamps are quite simply the most efficient lamps available today.
To meet your particular lighting needs, we offer custom lamp building capabilities. This ensures
that there is a lamp available in nearly any diameter and length up to 5 feet. This technology
also offers fully customizable shapes and Kelvin temperatures at nearly any spectral range
desired - even at temperatures up to 15,000K.
